Learn How to Make Calls from JioFi
Download and configure Jio4GVoice
Step 1- You need to download and install ‘Jio4GVoice’ this app from the Google Play Store on your smartphone. This is the app that allows you to make HD voice and video calls using the Jio SIM in the JioFi device.
Step 2- Once you have successfully downloaded and installed Jio4GVoice on your smartphone, launch it. You will be asked to enter a SIM card on your smartphone or to connect to your JioFi device. Select the JioFi option. You will then be navigated to your phone’s WiFi settings.
Step 3- Now, turn on your JioFi device which has the Jio SIM inserted in it. Wait till the device is completely ready to use. Then, connect your smartphone to your JioFi device using the wireless connection. To connect to your JioFi device, tap on the username of your JioFi device from the list displayed and enter a valid password.

Activate the Jio SIM in your device
To start using your Jio device, you must activate your Jio SIM first. Here is how to activate your SIM.
Step 1- To activate the SIM, launch Jio4GVoice app and open the dialer by tapping on the dialer icon located in the app. Here, type ‘1977’ and tap on the call button to initiate the call.

Step 2- Once you are connected to a Jio associate, you will be asked to verify the details which you have provided while buying your Jio SIM card. On verifying the details correctly, the services will be activated on your Jio SIM card.
Call from your smartphone using the activated Jio SIM card
Once you activated your SIM, you can now start make a call from your smartphone. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
Step 1- Connect your smartphone to your JioFi device over WiFi.
Step 2- Then, launch the dialer of your smartphone and type in the contact number of the person whom you wish to call. You can also select the contact saved in your smartphone.
Step 3- Once you have typed the contact number or selected the contact, tap on the call button. You will notice that Jio4GVoice has been launched automatically. It will have three different buttons. The two green buttons are for video and voice calling using JioFi device, and the grey button is to make the voice calls using the SIM card in your smartphone.
This is how one can make HD voice and video calls from 2G, 3G, and 4G smartphones using JioFi devices. One can also send SMS using the messaging option available in the Jio4GVoice app.
